With aspirations high, the Band once again set out to achieve the highest ratings possible. Long hours of practice and hard work helped to accomplish that goal. However, the high- light of the year for band members was the trip to Washing- ton D.C. where they made appearances and performed in assorted stops along the way. Another noteworthy aspect of the trip were the varied tours and ex- cursions to different places of historical interest and value. SYMPHONIC BAND The Symphonic Band is made up of those band members who have achieved a musical talent greater than their peers. Through the course of the year, the band performs three con- certs. In addition to the concerts, they compete at the district and state level concert contests. The Stage Band per- forms at Band Boosters dinners and civic ac- tivities which request a show band. Unlike the rest of the bands. Stage Band plays a variety of music ranging from jazz to top 40.
