Throughout the year, the members of ECHO, the student literary magazine, gather, edit, and publish the best ex- amples of students' creative writing, such as poems, plays, short stories, etc. The magazine is also a forum for student artists to display their talents as illustrators. Very often the members of ECHO are also talented writers and artists in their own rights and are the sources of much of the magazine's artistic content. ECHO is presently published once a year in May, thus enabling it to in- clude selections that truly represent the best artistic en- deavors of the year. By raising funds through various means, they en- joyed a Spanish dinner at Casa Gallardo. They also brought the Spanish class to a pleasant feast at the Colombia Restaurant in January. 135

Student Council is a student govern- ment organization working for the bet- terment of the school. Student Council holds various functions for the school, such as dances, student of the month, etc. The main event of Stu- dent Council is Homecoming. In addition to its contributions.
