Class Prophecy This is Station WZHS bringing you Nelda Cook with all the latest gossip. Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Tonight I thought you might be interested in hearing abouK the 1951 ZHS graduates who have traveled the road to fame and fortune. And now on with the broadcast. Flash! Joyce Baker, music teacher in the elementary school at ZHS, is having troubles. Those little kids don't leave any leisure time on her hands!! Guy Canaday was signed last week as manager of the Zephyr Poodles, local pro football team. Wedding Bells: Mary Ann Vestal, head librarian at the Public Library for the past few years, and Rex Gilbreath, candidate for governor, are rumored heading for that certain middle aisle any day now. Hot off the wires: Mary Jo Groselle, the gal with the mathematical mind, has just landed a job as Einstein’s new advisor. Jon Ferguson finally received a promotion. He is now known as the world's best jerk—soda, that is! Flash: Barbara Sabin and Helene Rexroad are now operating a thriving partnership in Crystal Springs —Barbara runs the Kill'em With Kindness Con- valescent Home and Helene is a lady undertaker with the motto you wheel 'em in, we wheel 'em out. Bill Marshall, local police chief is to be congratu- lated. He finally caught Limpy McGuire, the des- perate gunman. Big News: Walter Hill reported still serving Uncle Sam faithfully—as head of the Marine Corps. He is now in position to get pal Jimmy Richards out of the brig! And now your announcer— Is your motor feeling loggy? It is? Then give it a tune up at Harry's you wreck 'em, we fix 'em shop. Harry Wheeler, Prop. Hot off the wires: Glen Davis saved up enough money to buy out Shore's Dairy. It was hard pulling but he finally installed a new milking machine. Bill Stallings really going up in the world!!! He sits in a look-out tower and watches for fires!!! Cynthia Hinsz's dental clinic is reported to be a great success. She, too, sends her ex-patients to Helene Rexroad. Poor Doc Riley didn't stand a chance once Cyn decided there was gold in them thar teeth! Jack Lamb is still slaving away as a poor underpaid school teacher. His kindergarden cur- rently rivals Miss Stranger's in popularity. Congratulations to Martha Mae Keller. That lucky gal got rich quick when she devised a shorter meth- od of Shorthand! Some people get all the breaks. Have you heard that poor Coach Clements gave up in despair after being sponsor of the Class of '51? He quit the teaching profession entirely and opened a nice, quiet peaceful bowling alley on Fifth Avenue. Jim Ferguson is employed there as head and only pin boy!! Donald Welsch is due to become the most cele- brated scientist of the 20th Century. He made fly- ing platters out of flying saucers! The wealthy indus- trial magnate, Hilda Nesbitt, has erected a monu- ment to the Class of '51 in the form of a cat orphan- age, to be run and operated by her former class- mate Mary Greene. The institution will be known by the title of The Thing and quiet appropriately too. Flash and my last item for the evening! Rumor has it that Marilyn McClellan's new supper club is sched- uled to open very soon. Also heard that Erleta Keen is slated to be the featured entertainer at Mac's. It is also rumored that Mr. Leon Luckenbach, former principal at ZHS, will be released soon from the Bide-A-Wee Nursing Home. He has been re- cuperating from a nervous break-down suffered in 1951. That's about all the news to report so this is Nelda Cook signing off and wishing you a very good good night.
