Carolyn, attractive and lovable, can be dignified if necessary, but when it comes to fun and frolic, she is all there. JIMMY PARKS - Full of wit and lots of fun, a 'hello there' for everyone. Jimmy is one of the most dependable members of our class - plenty of school spirit - and his smile is truly a part of him. VIRGINIA PAUL - Many silent people are more interesting than the best of talkers. Easy to get along with, Virginia is attractive and friendly. TOMMY PULLEY - Handsome is as handsome does. His election as best looking and best disposition tells the story. EDITH SANFORD - A sunny disposition - a cherished possession. Thus say her family, her schoolmates and her friends. JUANITA SHORT - Nothing ever gets her down, everyone's gay when she's around. All of us like Juanita for her originality and her love of fun. She takes an interest in everything, especially basketball. PHYLLIS STAINBACK - With stars in her eyes, she looks to the future. Bill Brown is the reason for the stars in her eyes - and is also her future. SHIRLEY WEAVER - Silence and thoughtfulness are combined to the best advantage Energetic and resourceful describe our Shirley. She also possesses a sincere nature and a loyal heart. FRANCES WHITE - A charming girl, full of grace, quiet ways, attractive face. Frances has a good mind and a steadfast character. One of her chief interests is basketball and she excels in this. CAROLYN HERSHMAN WOODLIEF - Her quiet ways and her friendly smile make her friendship well worth while. Carolyn is true to herself and her friends. LUCY HENRY WOODS - And still the wonder grew that one small head could hold all she knew. Lucy has a warm smile and a keen mind. She will succeed - that's for sure.

LARRY BECKHAM - First in sports, first in the game - He's made himself quite a name. Whenever there is a job to be done you can depend on Larry to do his part. His splendid school spirit is an inspiration to his classmates. HARTWELL BLAKE - As welcome as sunshine in every place is the beaming ap- proach ofa good-natured face. You'll find Hartwell having fun in the midst of all activities. LAURA ANN BROWN - Full of life, pep, and sense - on the ball court, she's never tense. CONNIE COGHILL - Friendly, on the ball - that describes him best of all. Voted best all-around boy, he is held high in the estimation of his classmates. ANN COLE KITTRELL - She walks in beauty like the night. She is not only prettiest as voted by the class, but has a sweet disposition - a lovely combination for our ECHOES Queen. RONNIE DAEKE - A little nonsense now and then is relished by the best of men. Don't let Ronnie's lighter moments fool you. He was voted the most versatile member of the class. FAYE FINCH - Cute, petite, full of pep - she'll always be there right in step. Daintiness, charm, and a congenial nature all go to make up Faye's personality. JANICE FITTS - Not so serious, not so gay - yet she has a loving way. In her quiet and modest way, Janice always gets her work done on time. Her winning smile and happy disposition have won her many friends. GARLAND FLEMING - When people see him they always say he's a natural - nice in every way. Garland was voted the most courteous AND the friendliest! .TIMMY GILL - The intellect of the wise is like glass - it admits the light of heaven and reflects it. He successfully combines work and play. HAROLD HAUN - Be always as merry as you can, no one delights in a sorrowful man. Harold is a happy boy with a sparkling wit that has brightened many hours that might have been gloomy ones without him. JANET HOBBY - Genuine heart-felt sincerity is a trait of true and noble woman- hood. Her good manners and gentle heart make her best all-around girl. WINSTON KERLEY - An excellent student, a delightful friend - a mixture of both - 3 wonderful blend! All who meet Winston respond to the warmth of his personality, SHELVIA LASSITER - Wisdom often goes with fewest words. Though Shelvia is short on words she is long on school spirit. Whenever there is work to be done, she is right in there pitching. GERALD NEWTON - Music is soothing to his ears - his delight throughout the years. Gerald is a good fellow, a hard worker, and a real asset to our class. JOYCE OWEN - A disposition that is sweet - a smile that knocks you off your feet. Joyce voted best sport by her classmates, is full of vim and vigor and is one of our star basketball players.
