aaa .Malory We entered high school ln the vewr l9+7 with a membership con sisting of twenty two wiggley and boisterous Vreshmen Our lass was tell 1eplesented in the different activities of the school Bob Lovett and Glendale Zell were among the first ten on the oasketoall team and Harold Young was on first team Our class was not very active that year In fact, it is uncertain whether we even elected any class officers The next year we were enrolled as Soohomores with twenty one members From these twenty one we chose as our class officers President Harold Young, Vice President, Elbert Allen Secretary June Gr ham and T easurer,eack Thompson Our boys had honor able memtion in sports ag in this year and June Graham wasa cheerleader Most of our outside activities during the first two years of High School were class parties which were held at the different student's homes It is now l9U9 and we are Juniors When we came back to school in the fall quite a number had left our class They were Elbert Allen Tom Bray, Dick Jenkins Bob Brown Greta Seaberg we were represented in sports,and June was cheerleader once more Our class officers were President Glendale Zell Vice Presi dent Mary Spurlock Secretary Treasurer Dorothy Kline, an Reporter Dianne Greene This year we gave our first class play Ready Made Family, The cast consisted of Jim Shoots who was Henry Turner and his two children Doris and Sammy, Wanda Little and iom Van Voorhis, his fiancee, Agnes, Mary Spurlock, and her three children June Gra- ham Gracie, Dorothy Kline Marilee, and Glendale Zell Bob. Then Agnes' sister in law Lydia, who was Margaret Spurlock and the two colored servants Nicedemous and Begonia who were rsspeo tively Harold Young and Dianne Greene Even though it was a lot of work we enjoyed every minute of it We also gave the seniors a banquet at the Country Club in Kenton Now finally comes the time when we are seniors ls have four teen members, eight boys and six girls This year Bob Lovett Glendale Zell and Harold Young are on the first team and James Shoots and Herbert Richey are on the second June Graham and Dorothy Kline are both Cheerleaders We chose for class officers President Mary Saurlock, Vice President James Shoots Secre tary Treasurer, anda Little and Heporter, Margaret Spurlock , We have been trying garlous ways of making money this year in order to be able to take a senior trip Several members of our class are taking part in the county music festival which is go- ing to be held at Huntsville in May We are also going to give, a high school operetta in May At this time our play has been chosen but not the parts he name of it is Singin' B111 from Blueridge Hill, O 6- Q F 1 ll 1 u .. - - .
