JesseT mm; The cross country season went fairly well this year. The team ended the season with 6 wins, 6 losses, and came in 7th place in the divisionals. The home meets were again held at the Yuma Territorial Prison. There were 8 T tttN xtMLN ix; T W freshmen on the team, 4 sophomores, and 5 gWgWWWWWti-X W WWW W 3 juniors. The team is expected to be better and t - T MM V t more experienced by next year as the team T was made up of mostly freshmen. Gilbert Z De Los Reyes lead the team as captain. Scoreboard The 1972-73 Yuma High Cagers ended their season with an 11-11 record E1 Cexitro which gave them a Spot in Class Central Caleiuco AAA divisional playoffs. They went into Braw e?! the playoffs as a third place team. Chand er Coach McLendon had this to say about Kofa the season: It was a good year because Coronado the league was tough. I'm looking for- El Cerftro ward to next year as four of this years Cale-xzco starters will be returning. EOfa Lead by able-bodied coach, Mr. vasa Grande McLendon, the team showed much Tempe effort and team work. Height was not . El Centre a problem for the players for they measured up to most of their opposing teams. The returning players show great potential of being a strong team next year. N sh.
