' Imperial Although the junior varsity squad ended the season with a 2 win-7 loss record they played outstandingly well. The team had the opportunity to he coached by Rudy Cabrera and Bob DeLintt. As the season pro- gressed, the team improved with every game. Showing great potential of being a strong varsity squad. The junior varsity. players awarded at this years annual football hanquetwere Steve Patane receiving most points and yardage and Glen Gregston walkingWEy with the Jayvee Sparkplrug award and most points for defensive playing. The rest of the Jayvee team members were awarded certificates of recognition. Fresh Gridders End Season With a 5-2-1 Record The Freshmen squad ended the season with 5 wins and 3 losses. The team was coached by Mr. Needham, Mr. Daniel, and Mr. Cooper. According to Coach Daniel the t0p members of the team were Dave Carlton, most valuable player, and Danny Long, Kenny Nelson, Tony Didway, Mike Soergel and Duane Evans. The squad has shown talent in its ability to read the Opponent offensively and defensively. It is eXpected that the baby Crims show strong ability of being a great Jay Vee team.
