Our school nurse, Mrs. Kettunen, is kept busy each day with both large and small illnesses. ,lvl-:sum OUNSELORS From left Warren Conard Winifred Leonard Earl Hackbarth-Head Counselors, Mary Saunders, and Jim Besides their regular jobs as teachers, the counselors of YHS are always there to help students when they need it. The counselors are in charge of giving all tests at YHS, and helping with registration. They are also responsible for the guest speakers that talk to students on the many career possibilities. Heading the library for the past 19 years, is Lourene Olson. During this time the library has grown to the size of 12,000 books. Since 1959, Yuma High has had another librarian, Edith Nash. The library is not only a place for students to check out various books, read magazines and newspapers, but a quiet place to study and do their homework. 'Wt

The Bus Drivers at Yuma High are in charge of the safety of students who ride the bus to and from school. These 11 people drive buses not only for YHS, but Kofa as well. The bus drivers also drive our ath- letes on all out-of-town games, and take clubs to various functions in other cities. Mrs. Beeler has been in charge of the YHS book- store for 12 years. She is responsible for the buying and selling of books, filling requisitions, and hand- ling various bookstore supplies.
