Fifty years has seen YUHS grow from 33 students to almost 2200, and from four faculty members to 93. El Saguaro, the name of our annual, was decided upon by a vote of the student body. The year- book itself consisted of few pictures and many literary efforts on the part of the students. ln this book the history of the class is recorded and from their accounts it can be said that they were truly pioneers. With little aid and equipment, the determined faculty prepared the seniors to enter the territorial lthis was before statehoodl University at Tucson. Lack of equipment didn't hinder the progress of the students for they all completed courses in Latin, physics, history, and English, among other things. 4-DEDICATION
