Miss While was born near Smilhlield, Wesl Virginia in I90I. She al- lended Kidd-Key Junior College al Sherman, Texas, and received her A. A. degree, majoring in Lalin. She lhen received her B. A. de-gree wilh a Lalin major al Cenlral Slale Teacher's College in Edmond, Oklahoma. Coming lo our own slale, she allended lhe Universily ol Arizona, again majoring in Lalin, and received her M. A. degree. Among her many civic aclivilies, she is a member ol lhe Yuma Gem and Mineral Socie-ly, is pasl-presidenl ol lhe Arizona Associalion ol Deans ol Women and Advisors lo Girls, is a member ol lhe Associaled Dinner Clubs, American Associalion ol Universily Women, Lalin Club, Della Kappa'Gamma-nalional leaching honorary, League ol Women Volers, Republican Women's Club, and lhe Nalional American Classical League. Her hobbies include playing lhe piano, sewing, pholography, and being an amaleur rockhound . She likes all kinds ol books, and loves narralive poelry. Miss While has willingly devoled her lime and ellorls lo helping olhers unsellishly and wilh no expeclancy ol a reward as is evidenced by lhe long years ol service she has de-dicaled lo helping lhe sludenls ol Y.
