1ST ROW Fullilove Cortez, Collins, Payne, Brazeel, Marlin. 2ND ROW Mr Dingess Pickering, Bradford, Long, Moser, Donovan, Flint. STUDENT COUNCIL With Mr. L. C. Dingess as adviser, the Stu- dent Council, of seventeen members, has passed judgment on many problems of the school. This year, in their first discussion, they decided that block Y's should be con- sidered as school emblems and should stand only for the school. Thus the Y club, Ten- nis club, and the G. A. A. are now the sole awarders of that emblem. Having started a 'Sig permanent record tor all Student Body activi- 9353 ties, they also began revising the old consti- tution and its by-laws as their last project. I. .11-P STUDENT BODY OFFICERS Time rolls on and with it unrolled another successful year of school and social lite. Student body officers for i935-1936: Wood- ,555 row Wullilove, president, Mickey Payne, vice- president, and Elizabeth Long, secretary and 5' treasurer, have, with the support ot the stu- dent body, carried out many new ideas for the , betterment of the school. SECOND ROW-Mr. Max, Mr. Dunson, Mrs. DePaqueite, Mrs. Turnac, Miss White, Miss Smith, Miss Smith TEACHERS Mr. Ralph M. Young heads the social science department and has as his co-workers Mrs. Lucille Haughtelin, Mr. Arthur Pistor, and Miss Paloma White. Mr. Pistor also heads the art work while Miss White works with Mrs. Helena De Paquette and Mrs. Evelyn Turnac in planning the language courses. Physical education is taken care of by Miss Agnes lean Orr, girls' coach, Mr. Frank Arm- strong, boys' coach, and Mr. Young, assistant coach. Teachers of the science subjects are Miss Ura Terry, Mr. Charles Dunson, Miss Helen Thiele, and Mr. A. j. Hinshaw. Mr. Clarence Henderson has complete charge over the boys' shop work. BOARD Besides these is the governing body of the school, the board of trustees, composed of President O. C. johnson, Mr. W. D. Woods, Mr. C. C. Parks, Mrs. Blanche Blohm, and Mr. W. H. Dingess, adv.: Betty Aepli, social mgr.: Joe Cortez publicity l STUDENT BODY MANAGERS As part of his staff, Woodrow Fullilove ap- pointed loe Cortez and Betty Aepli as Student Body publicity and social managers, respect- ively. joe Cortez made and posted signs announc- ing the many basketball and football games, the track meets, and has seen that all other activities have been advertised downtown and throughout school. Betty Aepli has planned and decorated the student body dances and other social activities. YELL LEADERS This year for the second consecutive year, Teddy Anderson, lewell Welter, and Alberta Donovan, juniors, were elected yell leaders by popular vote of the Student Body. Enthusiastically leading the school's rooting section in support of the Criminal football team, they aroused much spirit and pep at the games. With many new yells, they were the leaders of the downtown rallies, held to create interest in the games among the townspeople. 17 Donavon Anderson Welter
