39? Ye Brown and Gold Hi-Y is ti group of Sires held in control by Mr. Mallory. This club sponsors the annual Luggage Day . Ye gentlemen journied down to Sun Francisco to 21 football game, They also sponsored tt canned food drive and an old clothes drive for lfurope. Ye commanding tribunal consisted of: I-ligh Lord Gary Miller, High George Dunning, Scroller Ronnie Livengood. Keeper of the Coin. Li Vern hX'7J.lE0ll, Reporter lim ilusteson, and Clmplnin Bob Kunde. Ye small gentlemen, who call themselves 'Honker Hi-Y, are ably directed by King jim Underhill I. Vice King Bernie Reines. Writer of the Scroll jerry Collett, Keeper of the Dough Dino Lekos. Mr. Smith is the gu.1rdi.1n of the group. Ye gentlemen formed it basl-tetbill tc-.im which pl.1ved .1g.1inst the Boys Club .md Hi-Y te.im in Oroville, The group also traveled to San Francisco to see L1 C.tliterni.t t'ootb.1ll game. The two Queens were Shirley Laird and Betty Laird. while their intase-of'absence-ladies were Norma XY'illiams and Donna Dunning. l.adies'in-charge-of- scroll lietty l..tircl and Norma Vfilliams. Ye lucky treasure keepers Beverly Schmidt and Barbara Passmore enjoyed their terms. while Bobbie Roper and joan Alameda tried to keep the paper posted. Chaplins were Randolph and Arlene Stevens, while the strong ladies were Donna Dunning and -Ianet Chipman. This group of young ladies sponsored candy sales and noon dances. Betty Laird went as a delegate to a conference in Sacramento. Ye group was very ambitious and held many parties. Ye Senior Tri-Hi-Y elects a new royal court each semester. Queen -Ioella Leepei' reigned over the ladies of the court, while Fayetta Courtney assisted as vice-regent. Mickey Hurdle and lfileen liwertson kept charge of the money and books. Christine Roper sent in ye news to the Bastilles little newspaper. 'loan Sizelose was Chaplain for both seme esters. This first group of royalty very graciously gave their seats up at the semester for the next lucky group of girls who were: Christine Roper. Beverly Atkins, Mickey Hurdle, Maybe-lle Accito. Fayetta Courtney. This ambitious group of ladies held several sweet sales fcandy to youl. and noon dances. Ye ladies planned an assembly and also sent some of their ladies to Richardson Springs Conference.
