New ad- ministration facilities, twelve grade schools. and two junior highs in the process of becoming high schools, com- prise the present day system. Credit for leadership in this achievement goes to J. M. Hanks, superintendent since 1929. He and his able staff have worked through growth and operation. He has devoted his time to providing a good educational system. Mr. Hanks is active in many civic and professional organi- zalions. Mr. F. W. Cooper, assistant superintendent, began his career as a coach in 1924.
