Remembered as very thorough, demanding, sometimes even as Hdiffi- cult, students are quick to add that she is fair, impartial and understanding. They feel she is striving to draw the best from each boy or girl that she teaches. ft' Q n addition to her classroom work, she has served as Senior Class Sponsor, Freshman Class Sponsor, and Spanish Club sponsor. Each ' year she has helped to plan and direct the annual Pan American Program sponsored by the Spanish Honor Society. he received her B.A. degree from the University of Texas and her M.A. degree from Texas Western College. Besides teaching in the Foreign Language Department, she has taught in the Commercial and English Departments. tudents come in contact with her daily in the cafeteria. Since she came to Ysleta High School twenty-seven years ago, she has served as manager of the school cafeteria. Besides taking up the money, she hires the staff and keeps the books. n appreciation of her service to YHS, we, the annual staff, would like to dedicate the 1962 OTYOKWA to Miss Elsie Campbell

Adopting hobbies, tack- ling subjects in summer school, planning for the school year ahead, and traveling to distant places highlighted their schedules.
