Jo Menges, center, placed second, and Barbara Roney, left, placed third. Twed-w'Bw.diuf A showboat of beauties pulled into dock as the Otyokwa Staff presented the twelve most beautiful girls at YHS in its annual beauty contest. The finalists included Gay Hewitt, Barbara Roney, Cecilia Garcia, Kathy Tyler, Gabriel Bryant, Nancy Denim, Elaine Macwell, Sharon Tappan, .laney Roach, Carolyn Monk, .lo Menges, and Sharon Nugent. GOT YA MAN? . . . Diana Lattauzio and Harriett Hall bemoan the fact that you can't get a man with a gun. FINALE . . . It looks like a tough decisionaas the hopeful candidates line up for a final judging.

EX OF THE YEAR... As Ex of the year, Mrs. Hulbert was presented with the traditional Kawliga at the Homecoming Assembly. TBIIFFMEIM. . - NIM. -lQIu,Qbe1i17 Cllwmw-lfloww En The Student Body prepared to give a big welcome to Ysleta's homecoming exes, as scores of Indians returned once more to their Alma Mater. Exes wandered through familiar halls and rooms visiting former friends and teachers. At the homecoming pep rally, present Indians gave a rousing war-whoop as evidence of Ysleta's everlasting spirit. The highlight of the festivities was the naming of the Honor Ex of the Year, Mrs. Constance Hulbert. She was presented with a Kawliga award in honor of her meritorious work as a teacher at YHS. In honor of all the returning exes, the FTA gave a tea which was held in the library. The gathering offered a good chance to renew old acquaintances. To end the day, the football court was presented at the victory dance celebrating the 32-24 victory over the El Paso High Tigers. ii !l ,ii ,IN HONOR EX GREETED . . . Ujnbvw Cm, ln honor of their thirtieth wedding aniversary, the Student Body, through various school organizations, held a reception for Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Wafer and their daughter, Melissa. Students and teachers were invited to attend the reception in which the Wafers were presented a one year clock as an anni- versary gift. A miniature wedding cake symbolized thirty years of marriage. l In addition to the reception the ROTC presented a review in their honor at which time Mrs. Wafer received a tribute. BQ NFARE . . . Mr. Wafer, escorted by rps Officers, makes an inspection of the ROTC. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY . . . Cliff Osborne, president of the Student Body, presented Mr. and Mrs. Wafer with a gift from the school organizations at the reception. ATTEN - - - SHUN . . . Dotty DeWees, representing the ROTC department, pre- sented Mrs. Wafer with a bouquet of roses ot the ROTC review held in the Wafers' honor. CONGRATULATIONS . . .
