WWF Take a football stadium, pack the homeside with a crowd, add lots of spirit and a team of fighting boys. Then you would have the reason why Ysleta High School captured the coveted I958 District I-AAAA Football Championship. The l958 season was graced with a terrific football team and spirit was high as over 2,000 fans-from bewildered Freshmen to blase Seniors and Faculty mem- bers, cheered the team on to victory after victory. As the season progressed toward eight wins, one tie, and one loss, confidence increased. After taking the District title, the Indians prepared to meet the mighty Eagles of Abilene in the Bi-District playoff. 'I ,J one BEL AIR SAYS . . . Good Luck Indians at a time when we really needed it most-the Bi-District playoff. BONGO DRUM? , . . The bongo drum is one example of the many hours spent by the Band and Drum Corps in preparation for the half-time shows. THE TRIBE . . . There is no doubt as to who the Indians favorite team is as the familiar chants of Go Indians and Fight Team Fight echo in the stadium at all the pre-game pep rallies. 25
