S Y i' ' Student Council Perhaps one of the most colossal dis- plays of salesmanship ever exhibited was sponsored by the Student Council, which sold approximately 3,000 pencils in a period of three weeks. The stu- dent governing body of Ysleta also spon- sored such things as Homecoming, dances, the Christmas tree, and the publicizing of the Alma Mater. A week of missing classes in order to attend a convention at El Paso High was a great morale booster during the first semester.
