In Ypsi High, there are several special classes and programs in which many students are involved. The students receive certain kinds of train ing and education from s rained teachers. The vocational education department includes all phases of homemaking and industrial arts In homemaking, girls learn to sew a straight seam as well as how to prepare many fine, deli- cious dishes Industrial arts courses help the guys learn to fix cars, and teach them to work successfully with wood. Also included are courses in drafting and the graphic arts, which prepare the students involved for careers in architecture and printing Mr. Ed Elsholz, Mr. Gordon Miller, Mr. Richard Mueller, Mr. George Leeds, Mr. Harold Lounsberry, Mr. James Bohn, Mrs. Margaret Cassidy, and Mrs. Ruth Munger

Problems encountered through our years at Ypsi High are shared, and more often than not are solved, with the help of the members of our guidance department This year, the students here at Ypsi High have been exposed to a new system, the alphabetical assign ment of students,to individual counselors, Though the primary duty of the counselors was to help with schedule chang nd classification, they alseebécame involved in the various interests of the students such as Armed S@WAce, vocational planning, student employment, various tests, drop-outs, and special problems Certafnly the one problem, that me changes and always confronts these diligent workers has been the preparation of seniors for ew ol college The staff consisted ir.
