From skeletons in the closet to crayfish claws, it was another typical year in the science de partment. Chemistry was as explosive as always, under Mr. Hebrew’s able guidance. Biology provided diversion for the weak of heart (and stomach) and was the end of many a fish, frog, and flower. Members of the science department included Mr. Richard Buccos as department head, Mr. Dave Driscoll, Mr. George Keilwasser, and Mr. Cecil Hebrew

Numbers + Equations + Diagrams = Mathematics—a brief outline of our Mathematics department. Students could enroll in such courses as basic and general math, Algebra I, geometry, and advanced algebra. Basic and general math are offered for those need- ing more work with numbers. Consumer math, which teaches the management of money, taxes, and insurance for budget planning later in life, is also offered. For those students who planned to major in this department, mathematical analysis provided advanced study By the end of the year, a few students learned, with amazement. that the Pythagorean Theorem actually can be proved and others found that quadratic equations weren't as impossible as they appeared. Included in the department are Mr. Tom Lawrence, Mrs. Donna Frye, Mr. Thomas Zientek, and Mr. Tom Taylor.

re) The business ediication department this year taught numerous students how to use business machines correctly, how to type and take shorthand with some proficiency and prepared them for a successful career in the business world.
