The topic for de- bate was resolved: that the Federal government should adopt a program of compulsory arbitra- tion in labor-manage- ment disputes in basic industries, The purpose of the Science Club is to stimulate interest in science. The club con- structed a telescope and took several field trips. President Chuck Jones and the Auto- Medics built a sports modified drag with an engine suited for racing on sanction drag strips. The goals of the club are to promote safety and hobby work on cars and tolearn proper procedures.

The Junior Classical League was open to any YHS student, who had studied Latin, or who was pursuing this study.Sponsored by Miss Crothers, the YHS Latin Club was an active part of our school. President Roger Lund and the officers planned several activities for the year. German Club Mrs. Reed and her German classes hadan interesting year. Last fall, they visited Frankenmuth, Michi- gan. As one of the new classes here, it has certainly been enjoy- able.
