These are Warnings We hear many times but seldom heed along our trip through the Tunnel of Life. Stop! Think what has to be done to succeed. We must listen and follow the directions of our elders. If we do not, we many times find ourselves on the wrong track and it is difficult to cross over to the correct one. But, along the correct track, we can always depend on landing at the right station, making life very rewarding. Miss Mabel Smith has dedicated forty-three years to our school, Youngwood Iunior High, enlightening our minds with the fundamentals of th ' ma ematics. She graduated from East Huntingdon High School, and from the ' N re went to Indiana ormal. She came here in 1919 after having previously taught two years at East Huntingdon. This staff of the R.ailroaders proudly dedicates this year- book to Miss Smith. Youngwood will suffer a great loss because she is retiring at the end of the 1961-62 school term. She has willingly served us, giving us the better years of her life. In this very small way, we wish to thank you, Miss Smith, for your many contributions in enriching our lives and making them more complete. 6 gY,.:9,,.,-,ge . ,, :-gfglreyzrfb. .K N Mr. Theo Fullerton Dr. Edward Shutna Superintendent of Secondary Education Hempfield Area Schools Curriculum Co-ordinator ....7..
