SHIRLEY EISLER ASSEMBLY REPRES. .,..,....., STEVE CHERAN SENIOR HISTORY When we as Freshmen started our journey through Youngwood High School we were shy and not quite sure what was expected of us. We were stationed in Room 2 under Mr. Fox's supervision. Our class dance, The Shamrock Shindig was held on St. Patricks Day. As Sophomores our home room teachers were Mr. Fox and Mrs. Cable. Under their supervision we worked hard and after our midlterm examinations we held our class dance which we called Cupid's Frolic, which was greatly enjoyed by all. We felt then that after a brief vacation we would be ready for our next stop as Juniors. How proud we were to become Juniors. We then added to our class students from New Stanton, South Grensburg, and Harrolds. The highlight of our Junior year was, of course, the Prom whose theme was April Showers. The dance was well attended and everyone had a wonderful time. We were then ready to enter our final year of school. As Seniors, under the supervision of Mrs. Cable and Mr. Mari. we are a little sad when we realize that this is our final stop in our journey through Youngwood High School. The photographer came to school and took our pictures and we received the finished portraits before Christmas. Members of the band, football and basketball teams received their jackets. One of the main events of our Senior Year was the Senior Class Play the hilarious melo-drama of the gay nine- ties The Curse of an Aching Heart. The cast never had a better time then when they modeled the old fashioned clothes which were used. With a great deal of enthusiasm and no regret, we look forward to our Baccalaure- ate Services on May 24 and Commencement on May 28. Motto: Knowledge comes, but wisdom lingers So many worlds, so much to do, So little done, such things to be. - Tennyson Class Color: Blue and Gold Class Flower: Yellow Rose
