fdff sors without whose help the book could not have been completed. Arlene Gray was elected art editor with Shirley Fordyce in charge of the photos. Irene Steiner and Jacqueline Vargosko composed the articles for the clubs and activi- ties. The histories of the underclassmen were written by jean Thomas. Catherine Reese wrote about out future and joan Ciampini compiled our last will and testament. Glenn Morrison and Dick Shiflco were in charge of sports write-ups. Typists Winnie Deruelle and Beatrice Ciampini were eflicient and quick in handing back finish- ed work. Last, but not least, are June Walt, Louis Pallone, Helena Butler, Dick Morris, and Alice Minard who secured money for the Pa- tron's Page. While the other students are out having a good time without a care in the world, each member of the Maroon and White organization is doing his best to give these very same students some sort of remembrance when high school days have come to an end. As editor of the annual, Betty Adams did a swell job and spent much time and effort mak- ing a yearbook which the graduating class can be proud of. The Hnances of our book were well taken care of by the business staff consisting of Harry Carnes and Tom Robbins who got the ads from out of town and Clara Mae Long who secured ads from Youngwood and assisted the editor in making the layout for the book. J une 2, 1950 Place ,.444...,.. ,..,......,..,... Y oungwood High School SYNOPSIS ACT ONE: Room 2, 1, at 9:00 a. m. on a Sep- tember morning in 1946. Thirty-eight strong, we strode bravely to our first high school classes, only to be greatly subdued by the over confident upper classmen. With Mr. Fox and Mrs. Shannon as our home room sponsors and Harry Riddle as president, we struggled through the term even managing to have a class dance. ACT TWO: Room 18, 19, one year later. Our number still thirty-eight, we entered the Sopho- more Room, a group of over confident souls. With Miss Kunkle and Mr. Mari as sponsors, we started the year off with a bang by putting on a gala re- ception for the Froshies. Being very energetic, we had a very successful Easter Dance. To show our hidden talents, we had a Sophomore Assembly. The rest of the year, with Tom Robbins as presi- dent, passed rather quietly. ACT THREE: Room 1, 3, and 9, still one year later in 1948. With the addition of the New Stan- ton students, our number increased to sixty-six. Robert Davidson was chosen President and we started on our third division of our climb.
