Dedication . . . We, the class of 1944, dedicate this edition of the Maroon and White to our former basketball coach, Gilbert Rutter, who is now serving his country as a member of the United States- Navy. We wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to him for his patience, understanding and ability, not only as a coach but as a teacher, advisor and friend. We wish him lots of luck in the Navy and hope he will soon be back on the faculty of Youngwood High School.
