QUITE MISS Helen Piper Dr. Thomas Gettings Do you have a headache, upset stomach, wa- tery eyes, or maybe even the measles? Go see Miss Piper! Miss Helen Piper is the nurse for all t.he schools in our district. She administers first aid in the case of accidents, Weighs and meas- ures all students, tests students' eyes and ears annually, and assists in dental and medical ex- aminations. The medical examinations are given to the seventh and eleventh grade students each year by Doctor Thomas Gettings, the school doctor. Dr. Gettings also gives physieals to- boys who are trying out fo-r sports. This year the Health Suite was moved to the old art room. The additional space provides more room for records and equipment. 53

QE EQ Mrs. Florence Spencer is secretary of the school hoard. Besides doing the pay- roll Work and keeping the minutes for the meetings, she does the bookkeeping for the school district. Mrs. Ann .lohnson is Mr. Matthews' private secretary and also secretary for the high school. Her duties include making up the daily bulletin, typing tests, doing account Work for school activities, and recording students' grades in the perma- nent record folders. Mrs. Leila Craft is Mr. Sherwood's secretary. Her du- ties include typing letters, tak- ing care of the cafeteria ac- counts for the school district, processing orders for -supplies, and acting as a receptionist.
