Meleen. H As junio-r stockholders in our nation and the World, We owe it to ourselves to make every effort to understand the functions and the value of the United Nations. The mem- bers of the Model U.N. group strive to attain this goal. They do this by attending the mock General Assembly meeting held at Gannon College every spring. This is just like a meet- ing of the United Nations general assembly on a small scale and is a very valuable learn- ing experience. The Art Club, under the direction of Mr. Camp- bell, has as its goal, the promotion of a greater sense of visual perception and aesthetic apprecia- tion. Because of the nature of this club, much of the Work is done individually. The main service rendered by this organization is designing and painting posters for 'various school activities. Members contributed paintings of the surrounding area for a sidewalk art festival in order to obtain funds for future projects.

The new Sportsman Club has been organized by Mr. Waddell to encourage boys in the fields of hunting, fishing, camping, and other outdoor sports. Several films from the Pennsylvania Game Commission were viewed. Demonstrations and discussions of the new equipment used in hunt- ing and fishing were observed and held by the members during the year. This organization is open to all boys from seventh to twelfth grades.
