ART Throughout the book are small drawings and spot designs. These are the work of the art staff. Much care is taken with these drawings, for each must complement the page as well as fit for size. PHOTOGRAPHY The photography staff took all of the action shots found throughout the book. Wally Long, our young apprentice, is learning which Way to point the camera. We hope to see him snapping the shutter for a few to come. . N. , . W ,E V 5. ADVISOR Pm here to advise, not to do the Work. This is what our advisor said at the beginning of the year. But by the time everything was completed, he had certainly done his share. MR. FRANK ACKLIN Left to Right: W. Long, J. Huselton, K. Hajnik, B-. LAYOUT Lay it out.', lt,s wrongln Lay it out againlw This group of imaginative stu- dents plan the positions of the pictures and Write-ups on each page. Layouts are done on special forms, the exact dimen- sions of the pictures and their positions are drawn through on triplicates. The completed triplicates are sent to the pub- lisher as blueprints for printing the pages. LITERARY '4Write-up's, write-ups, Write-ups, forever write-ups! This is a familiar exclama- tion from everyone on the literary staff. But, of course, that,s what this staff does. In addition, they help with the identifying of pictures, writing of captions, and alpha- betizing of the names for the class sections and the index. Left to Right: C. Emerson, J. Mack-staff editor, E. Mills-assistant editor, L. Turner. Left to Right: C. Pierce, S. Moniak, T. Strickland-staff editor, J Chitester, M. Kibbey, S. Wood. l20 AOUILA TYPING All the material which is to he printed in the book must he typed on the tripli- cates. Our typists are the back-bone of the staff. Without their effoits, a single page could not leave for the publisher. These girls strive for accuracy because errors must be erased three times! Left to Right: A. Gantz, C. Nelson, V. Moronski, M. Steo-staff editor.

The Broadwalk, our school newspaper, is published monthly. Two new teachers, Mr. Nadal and Mr. J. Dunn, were named as ad- visors of the paper this year. With Doug J ewell as editor and a large, ambitious staff of re- porters, one of the best newspapers ever pub- lished at Y.H.S. rolled off the press this year. Reportersk could be found haunting class- rooms and lurking in corners. They snatched pieces of inforniation daily from whomever and Wherever they could to select a Boy and Girl of the Month in addition to a Teacher of the Month. A few items of intriguing gossip were a speclalty of our snoopers. Events of in- terest always received adequate coverage as did club activities, class projects, and sports. Jeanne Natale and Elaine Rhodes sent news items from Y.H.S. to the Warren Times Mirror every week. B72-AOADWALIG QTZXFF Left to Right Row 1 S Vorse J Lanmng S Brooks D Jewell M Mulvey Row 2: S.
