MAYUAY Mary Stec escorted by John Bosko. The May Day exercises for 1963 were held on May 15. The highlight of the afternoon was the crowning of the May Queen, Mary Stec, who was escorted by John Bosko. The sophomore girls presented the tradi- tional May Pole Dance in honor of the Queen. Patrick Black, Steve Meleen, Anthony Roberti, and Chuck Sample were chosen to attend Keystone Boys State held at Penn State University, and Mary Stec was selected to attend Keystone Girls State held at Ship- pensburg, Pennsylvania. Judy Lanning and Dave Cowles were the recipients of the American Legion Auxiliary and American Legion School Awards respectively. Awards were also given for scholastic achievements and member- ship to clubs throughout the year. I-I The second annual Homecoming exercises were held October 12, 1963. The announcement of the Queen was made by Bonnie Anderson at a dance held by the cheerleaders on the eve of the Northern H0 NG Area vs. Youngsville football game. The lovely Queen was Diane Kay, escorted by Bart Green. Sue Sher- wood, last year's Homecoming Queen, crowned Diane during the halftime ceremonies of the game.
