GYM The program in physical education for iunior high is similar to the senior high program. The stress on the iunior high level is for variety of activities and the develop- ment ot the large muscles ofthe body. The senior high students should be more concerned with specialization. The program at this level goes into detail on the rules, strategy, and all phases of the games. The specific aims of the program are: l. To develop neural-muscular coordination among girls from the ages of l2 to T7 years. 2. To develop social adiustments. 3. To develop mental and physical strength through compliance with the rules of games and decisions of officials. S 4. To gain emotional stability through athletic activities. 5. To maintain health, both physically and mentally. WARMING-UP EXERCISES are an important part of the 6- TQ develgp and maintain physical efficiency, girls' gym classes.
