ROW 2: Bro Rapp, Verena Von Mirbach, Kirsti Ahde, Sarah EVEN THOUGH the Language Club is in its first year, it has been successful. The members in the club all are interested in studying languages. Most of the conversation used in the club, is either English or Spanish. The THEME of the LANGUAGE CLUB is Lingurama which is an imaginary visit to the main countries of Europe. On the visit the club members study language, history, and the cul- ure of the country they are visiting. The members of the club learn the alphabet, a few folk songs of each country, and also, a few common expressions in the language of the coun- try they are currently studying. EARLY in the WINTER, the Language Club took a trip to War- ren 'ro hear a lecture on the origin of languages. On May 8th the Language Club combined with the Russian Club of Warren for a banquet at Warren, The Language Club pro- vided the entertainment which consisted of Russian, French, Spanish, Italian, and Latin songs. The program was in the form of a dialogue and was basically Russian. Our club feels that it is of equal impor- tance to discover whether a student is not interested in teaching, but only atter being ottered the opportunity. THE CLUB PARTICIPATES in state and local activities. On the local scene, club members sponsor ioint chapter pro- grams with other chapters in the area.
