BAD The YOUNGSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL BAND was directed by Mr. Donald Barron until the middle of football season when he left to teach in Jamestown, New York. At this time Mr. Enea Caravacci took the iob of directing the marching band for the remainder of the season. AFTER FOOTBALL SEASON he directed concert band which has more members than marching band and plays only a few march songs along with our concert music. In the spring ot T961 we held a concert in the gymnasium along with chorus. WHEN THE CONCERT was over we practiced tor commencement at which we played the processional along with our special number The King and I. They did not publish a true school newspaper, rather, they supplied a block of news to the Youngsville Courier, local newspaper, under Their by-lines. GOAL is EVENTUALLY to have a successful school newspaper. The name Broadwalk was kept because the students like the traditional name. 84
