ALBRIGHT Vocational Agriculture Penn State University Ohio State University Graduate work: Penn State Club: F.F.A. BY ENCOURAGING STUDENTS to strengthen their confidence in themselves and their work we enable them to establish suitable programs by which a better future, both economically and spiritually, can be obtained. FOR THE IMPROVEMENT of agriculture and conservation the boys take part in worthy proiects which prove an important part of the training. SINCE AGRICULTURE IS SO CLOSELY as- sociated with nature we try to inspire a belief in God and love of country life. BY MEANS OF A CHART, Mr. Albright is able to show an agriculture class the differ- I D U ent cuts of meat. DONALD T. JOHNSON Industrial Arts, Shop 81 Mechanical Drawing California State College Club: Stage Crew Hobbies: Photography THE MASTERING OF THE fundamentals of ar- chitecture and accom- plishing the use of draft- ing tools is the purpose of this course. BAD The YOUNGSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL BAND was directed by Mr. Donald Barron until the middle of football season when he left to teach in Jamestown, New York. At this time Mr. Enea Caravacci took the iob of directing the marching band for the remainder of the season. AFTER FOOTBALL SEASON he directed concert band which has more members than marching band and plays only a few march songs along with our concert music. In the spring ot T961 we held a concert in the gymnasium along with chorus. WHEN THE CONCERT was over we practiced tor commencement at which we played the processional along with our special number The King and I. INTERVIEWING Dennis Clark for an article concerning the Poetry Contest are Linda Rensma and Thelma Wiler. STUDENTS in BROADWALK spent their time learning the fundamentals of journalism. They did not publish a true school newspaper, rather, they supplied a block of news to the Youngsville Courier, local newspaper, under Their by-lines. GOAL is EVENTUALLY to have a successful school newspaper. The name Broadwalk was kept because the students like the traditional name. 84 HOIR The choir and band held its annual spring concert on May 26.
