His thoughts would have wandered longer, had his atten- tion not been caught by the introduction of the Dean of his own college. It was time to stand. And by the power vested in the Dean, the degrees were conferred and he was graduated. It seemed to him strange, that on this day like every other day, he felt a great deal of pride and excitement. Hav- ing come to get the procedure accomplished, and only that, he left with a great deal more than he had expected. Through the multitude, and not without a great deal of effort, he found his parents. Kisses, handshakes, and a great deal of joy brought this hot afternoon to its closing. They turned to walk to the parking lot, his mother proudly wrapping her arm around her son. Much was accomplished that day. He had learned a lot. He had learned a lot
