il Within these pages, we have attempted some conclusions by looking at our own part of the world, Youngstown, Ohio, and YSU particularly. We will examine the myths dearly held here and see how far we have come towards a realistic vision of society, and will ask what it takes to evolve beyond a geographical narrowness of vision of man's future. And we will look for indications of how far we are from a perfect balance between man and society, how near to the abyss.
