madman H444 Eager freshmen streamed into Youngstown College last September and embarked on a new adventure and a new life. They were soon caught in an eddy of social, scholastic and athletic activities. The success of the Frosh Reception and the early fall Freshman Breakfast proved to the upperclassmen that these newcomers, although regarded as grassy green , can handle the reins quite well. Enthusiastic Dick Brush, as chairman of the Homecom- ing festivities did a bang-up job on one of the most out- standing affairs of the autumnal season. Athletic achievement was displayed on the gridiron, on the hardwood courts and in the swimming pool. The freshman football record showed a 3-win, l-tie score-a record season. The energetic freshmen soon familiarized themselves with the political field. Their deep interest in balloting pro- duced a splendid array of officers. ' Conscious of their status concerning the draft and mili- tary training, an approximate total of l9O freshman cadets were enrolled in the Reserve Officers Training Corps. Looking ahead to the future, the frosh can justly record their initial year as well spent, raise their hopes and extend their accomplishments to a higher level in the remaining three years.
