PRESIDENT HOWARD W. lONES ABEY STUDIOS In l928 Howard jones became the assistant to the president at Hiram College eventually paving his way to becoming our president in l936. Here prexy, as he is affectionately called by the students and staff, began the task of putting YoCo on the map. To do this he had to do a great deal of fund raising, for which he is noted. To put a job of this sort over President jones used every means at his command including optimism and enthusiasm. He never undertakes a task unless he is sure that it will succeed and never relaxes until it is done. With this type of man at the helm there is no doubt that our college will be one of note. Prexy's aim is to meet local needs and he has the full co-operation of industry in doing this. We can truly say: Our president is a part of the Ohio Story and will eventually take his place among the great men of the state and nation.
