Since then fourteen more issues of Courier have been put together by its hard working staff under the guidance of Miss Anna Bartnett and has found its Way into the hands of nearly 500 students every issue. The Castle Courier has tried to reflect the thoughts, humor, spirit, and achievements of the school as a Whole. If this has been accomplished and the students have gained even a small measure of enjoyment from the pages of the Courier the staff feels amply rewarded. 31

With South Sea Island motif and soft lights, a most pleasant atmosphere was created by Marty Kahn and his efficient staff of decorators. No small part of the success of the prom rests on the shoulders of the co-chairmen Bill Lysaght and Pat Morley. Pat, by the Way, was chosen Queen of the Prom by the members of the Senior Class. Don Campbell, who acted as master of ceremonies, presented Pat and the runners-up Trudy Marshall, Diana Sherman, and Tappy Burrill, with floral bouquets. Door prizes were also awarded through the courtesy of local merchants. The music of Tommy Peter's band added the final touch and insured the dancing pleasure of all in attendance. If future Senior Proms are sure to be as successful, both socially and financially as the first, future chairmen should have no Worries. 30

THE CORN HARVEST OF 1942 The first Senior plays, presented on Iune 9, provided a full night in the way of dramatic entertainment for all in attendance. One play entitled Those Were the Days, using the present for a setting, tells the story of a rather strict father whose discipline was cracked by the untimely entrance of ct school girl sweetheart. The parts were all realistically brought to life and the comedy was well received. The second play had the gay nineties as a background and was drama- tically called Fireman Save My Child. This tear jerking melodrama portrays a fragile, downtrodden flower, rescued from the clutches of the deep dark villain by the upright noble hero. With these two dramatic presentations as a precedent the future classes can look forward to some entertaining plays at the termination of their school year. 32
