I4 Bear Facts The journalism class publishes the Bear Facts newspaper every other week. Each person is as- signed a different department every time, so everyone will have a chance to become editor. Alot of hard work goes into this paper so that the student body can have a newspaper. Mrs. Morgan is the sponsor. Library Club The Library Club is a club organized of stu- dents that are interested in giving up some of their free time to help in the library. They check in returned books, assist students in finding refer- ence materials, decorate bulletin boards, repair torn books, and in general, keep the library running smoothly.

Speech Tea m Gains Sth Bi. Co. Trophy In A Row fThe Speech Teamj con- sists of: ROW 1: Mrs. Johnston, coach, Russ Campbell, Ron Hale, Mark Lee, Marge Gardner, Mike Osborn. ROW 2: Lea Ann Guilinger, Greg Campbell, Sylvia Leary, and Crystal Johnston. This year the bi-county speech contest was held at Yorkwood. Victory came once again, as the fine speech team of York- wood racked up another Speech Trophy. fThe District Speech Teamj con- sists of : ROW 1: Mark Lee, Marge Gardner, Ron Hale, Mike Osborn. ROW 2: Lea Ann Guilinger, Lovena Miller, Sylvia Leary, and Crystal Johnston. These students worked hard so they would be able to pro- gress to the District Speech Contest. This year, Yorkwood was fortunate enough to have two state con- testants. They were Kathy Zern, RIGHT, and Mark Lee, FAR RIGHT . 16
