After Weeks of intense concentration and effort, due to the determined prodding of Bernice and Miss Davis, everyone finally turned in all their write-ups and snaps. Contingents stayed after school each night in the final week be- fore each lay-out Was due, to type, paste, and figure out who was the blurr in the back row . With satis- faction and relief We finally put this in a box and shipped it off to the printers. The class of '47 has Worked hard to make this full of the memories of the past year. We leave behind us Y.H.S., but take with us this reminder of four wonderful years of high school. Y-HI-TIMES Newspaper meetings often turn out to be a riot, everyone madly scribbling out their own version of Snoop Thanks to Miss Spencers able help, and Editor Ruth Ahrens persistence, many fine editions have been turned out. Other members of the staff are: Assistant Editor, Orlo Smithg Sports Editor, Ralph Glenn, Feature Editor, Mary E. Larson, Hum or Editor, Lots Glenn, and many reporters. The typists are Alyce Siebert, Shirley Mason, and Alice Nash. The pages of every issue have been nicely decorated by our art department consisting of lane Fisher, fa nice Bjelland, and Helen Marklein. The staff has worked hard this year to put out your issues of Y-Hi-Times and hope to have a bigger and better paper next year.

The Future Farmers of America is a national organization whose purpose is to develop leadership, lo strengthen confidence of farm boys in themselves, to encourage the boys in development of their farm- ing programs, to develop character and good citizenship, and to develop organized rural recreation. The Yorkville officers of l946-47 are Don Stevenson, president, Louis Greene, vice president, Don Sampson, secretaryg and Stephen Ashley, sentinel, Seine of the boys this year attended Officers Training School in foliet, presented a parliamentary procedure demonstration for the PTA., sponsored Thanksgiving raffle, gave the annual F.F.A, Banquet, and several of the boys showed their livestock at the International Livestock Show, F. H. A. The Future llomemakers of America is a new national organization just started in l945. Our chapter this year has been under the leadership of Lois Whitlock, president, lune Brisbin, vice president, Mary Arm Utley, secretaryftreasurer, feaness Sherwin, Student Council Representative, and Mrs, Tabler, sponsor. Vfe sold hot dogs at the basketball games to help raise money for our annual Mothers and Daughters Fanguet and to send one girl to Leadership Training Camp.
