1 ill First Grade '56, Senior Class '68, was the theme of the Annual Senior Ban quet, held in the school cafeteria in May. Banquets a nd Honor Da At the Pep Club Banquet the Pep Club presented Mrs. Taylor, sponsor, with a dozen red roses. The senior cheerleaders who received charm bracelets from the Pep Club and Mrs. Taylor were: Jennifer Reynolds, Carol Brinkman, T and Janet Fink. J. New members being inducted into the Honor Society were: Carolyn Britton, Senior, Peggy Plummer, and Gary Mathews, Juniors, as newly installed officers: Gary Bran- son, Steve Webster, and Becky McNutt, looked on. fl- ,, is sw,..,s, .... Prom to Seniors Junior Steve Webster looked amused as he presented his entertainment at the Prom, which was appreciated strictly by the iuniors. One dance that never changes is the slow dance. By the look on Tom Gasaway's face, this dance is the all time favorite. Mn. Each Prom is different from the next in its decorations, theme, and danc- ing. Instead of the Pearl, they're doing the African Twist.

Senior Class members who received the Courtesy- Leadership Award from Mr. Satrayan were: Julie Rader and Terry Smith. Recognized Seniors Honor Society members who received Gold Cords from Mrs. Walker were: B. Cousert, C. Engle-hart, K. Garret, B. Hofherr, L. Pitts, and D. Hoover. Mr. Heath presented the traditional Gold Y's to those students who were outstand- ing in tour years of leadership, school citi- zenship, cooperation, initiative, reliability and scholarship, Mr. Heath, principal, D. Bailey, B. Baldwin, D. Brown, B. Clark, W. Conner, M. Davis, B. Hofherr, K. Marvin, B. Spaite, M. Tolliver, G. Wilson, and T. Walker. Mary Beth Davis was the honored Eecllgliql Old The John Philip Sousa Mr. Joe Jordan presented the Lions Club Award to: K. Daugherty, basketball, on Wm ' D.J. Sheward, track and wrestling, B. Baldwin, baseball, G. Welhage, toot- ball, G. Baughman, cross country, and J. Smiley, golf.
