Tigers, Go-Fight-Win! 5 Yorktown's Tiger, Linda Hilclreth, was the sentry who guarded against an invasion by the Cowan Blackhawks. Spirits ran high at the Sectional Pep Session. Each class presented the basketball team with a good luck charm. Gayle Fuller, Miss Spirit, was chosen for her spirit, enthu- siasm, and loyalty to the Tiger Team throughout the season. Gayle Fuller was chosen by the varsity cheerleaders and the Pep Club Board ot Control to Reign as Miss Spirit ot 1968. Representing the 7th and 8th grade class, .lay Heineman and Greg Branson presented Mr. Dan Thornburg, coach, with 2,200 pieces of bubble gum.

Wm... .... ,Q Representing Yorktown at the Annual Girls and Boys State at Indiana Uni- versity were: Merribeth Davis, Wendell Conner, and Beth Young, Y Honors for Outstanding Each year an outstanding girl student is chosen for her citizenship, personality, and scholastic ability. Rebecca Spaite was this year's recipient of the DAR Good Citizenship Award. Achievements Senior Rhonda Clark received the Betty Crocker award tor her accomplishments in Home Economics. Rhonda also received the Crisco Award.
