The Annual Spanish Club Christmas Party and Banquet were held in December at the high school cafeteria. The traditional breaking of the Mexican Pinata was the highlight of the evening. As in Mexico, the pinata was filled with candy for all Spanish Club members. Breaking Piiiata Highlights Festivities Spanish Club sponsor, Mrs. Caro- line Jones, broke the traditional piiiata at the Spanish Club Christ- mas Party. The Queen can- didates were: seniors Maureen Murdoc, Beverly Mercer, iu- niors Cheryl Thomas, Gayle Fuller, sophomores Darlene Monroe and Brenda Sollars. As the clock struck ten, Gayle Fuller was crowned Sweet- heart Ball Queen. Representing the junior class, Gayle Fuller was elected Queen of the 43 Annual Sweetheart Ball. Dreams Fulfilled Beyond the Rainbow These couples found time to catch a few tender moments by the candlelight. Pictured are: Danny Glass, Eleanor Bottom, Rick VanDyke, and Becky Hofh- eff.
