The casual observer might remark that it appears to be a typically modern creation made of sturdy concrete and mellow brick. Those who have peered into the interior could add that its walls are tinted in the hues of the rainbow, that everywhere there is the sparkle of polished tile and the soft gleam of stainless steel. ' But, we who have beheld this building grow from a seem- ingly impossible dream into a triumphant reality know that this is a structure composed of much more than Wood and brick and steel. . Into this tremendous undertaking has gone countless hours of planning, of figuring, and of taking the endless legal steps that must necessarily precede such an enormous project. Into it has gone the faith and hope of an entire community, and what is even more tangible, it has had the financial backing of every taxpayer in this township. The Past, often filled with disappointment, is behind us. The Future lies ahead -- bright with the promises of new and exciting things to come. There are new worlds to conquer, dramatic discoveries of science, unlimited opportunities for men and women of courage to live in such a way that the world might truly have Peace on Earth. As for the Present, we, the graduating class of 1956, are proud to be the first to represent our wonderful new school as we endeavor to take our place in the World of Today. To you, Mt. Pleasant Township School, we gratefully dedicate this EPISODE .... 1+ .. ,. 3 X. - o at X. rs .1 ,, fl ' .V w' ' with A 1 ' vv 42 v .1 , if HN .Q-EA ml' .Q 1. Q .s M. V .L ai . In like manner, We, too, have succeeded in reaching our goal because of the untiring eHorts and unlagging enthusiasm of our beloved sponsors, Mrs. Bright Kimmel and Mr. Kent Trempala. Although they have remained quietly in the background during our four years of high school, we realize that Without their wisdom and leadership, we might have failed in our task. IN .
