Varsity Field Hockey Losing builds character and this team is cer- tainly composed of many characters. The Varsity Field Hockey Team ' s record, 2-8-4, reflects neither their skill nor the time spent in front of their opponent ' s goal but the number of times that the ball went over or around the goal. They kept up the tradition of high spirit and determination, always giving their all. Losing only 5 players, this team could break a long tradition and have a winning season next year. They had 5 All Countys and numerous All Conference and All Leagues. The captains this year were Bruce Faulkner, Jeremy Gilbert and Greg Latta. They were named All County along with Ken Shimizu and Rich Cafaro. Coach Vinny Savastano is looking forward to another great season next year with 8 juniors returning.
