American 7ield Service — ?abw Verb to What mean? . . . What mean?! It is a question that I kept repeating to myselt and to the people around me especially during the first few months of this great year in the United States. Everything was new, different, and interesting. I wanted to know and to learn, but without you — my friends, fellow students, and dear, patient teachers — without your help I could not have done it. So now, I would like to say Thank you to everybody, especially to my host family and to AFS, and, believe me. I am really sincere. AFS taught me a lot. I learned to live with the different, the new, the unexpected: drawing from all cultures, resolving inevitable problems in a constructive manner and overcoming the fear of change by living in a different country and community with a new family. My experience with AFS proved to me: Don ' t worry, Fabio, e ven in the worst situa- tions, you will always find a friend with whom you can work and enjoy yourself. And, finally, let me tell you, dear friends: Yorktown was, for me, like a first love: UNFORGETTABLE.
