The Photographers Mates handle all photographic assignments for the ship, Air Group and embarked Carrier Division. Special projects are completed for accompa- nying destroyers. A complete photo labo- ratory is maintained. Air Intelligence personnel maintain files on all intelligence publications and prepare briefing informa- tion for the Air Group pilots. ln conjunc- tion With spuadron intelligence personnel they brief pilots and crews prior to flight missions. Yeomen assigned to the Opera- tions Office maintain a library of all opera- tion plans and orders held by YORKTOWN and prepare and distribute the ship's Ope- rating Schedule and Air Plan. Duties include control of all aircraft departing and returning to YORK- TOWN. CATCC Personnel also man CCA dur- ing all night and foul Weatlier operations, maintain tlie flight logs, prepare the daily airplan, maintain status boards and collect and pass to the ready rooms all necessary Hight information.
