The Photographers Mates handle all photographic assignments for the ship, Air Group and embarked Carrier Division. Special projects are completed for accompa- nying destroyers. A complete photo labo- ratory is maintained. Air Intelligence personnel maintain files on all intelligence publications and prepare briefing informa- tion for the Air Group pilots. ln conjunc- tion With spuadron intelligence personnel they brief pilots and crews prior to flight missions. Yeomen assigned to the Opera- tions Office maintain a library of all opera- tion plans and orders held by YORKTOWN and prepare and distribute the ship's Ope- rating Schedule and Air Plan. OB division also maintains the Yorktown Broad- casting System, the speaker-amplifiers which play YBS programs throughout the ship, the ship's recreational television system, and the mess deck hi-fi system.
