Charity was really quite painless announces the last winner. i i in the form of raffle tickets handled in turn by Officers, Chiefs, and PO,s. There was a great deal of enthusiasm shown by both ticket salesmen, who each guaranteed a winner everytime, and buyers, who thought perhaps he might be the winner. Not everyone Won a prize, but nobody lost as the LADY It Wasnnc Very hard to fmd a ticket Salesman proved she had a heart as Well as spirit. on the LADY. Captain Colestock guided the Explorer Scouts about the LADY. Mr. Richard Lowe, Governor of Guam, and Mr. Gilmaster, the Deputy High Commisioner of U. N. With the Golden Gate in sight, We know that We'1l soon be near our loved one's. l mfblffl 0018 y Eager eyes turned eastward, towards home, when the LADY'S tour was completed. She had been on the line for six months, doing the job she had to do. In all phases of operations, her duties had been done exceedingly Well. Outstanding , Excellent , and Well Done were words heard at the completion of each task she was assigned. The adventure is over now and the .homeland and all its means is dearer as it comes into view. For some it was the last cruise for others the first of many more t to come. Somelwho met us, Weren't around when We left. Some Chiefs do everything in double, and smile about it too
