The jet attack punch of our air group. The Goofy Loopers H of VA 192 pack the jet attack punch of the LADY'S Air Group. Armed with F9F-8 Cougars, and trained to deliver a variety of ordnance ranging from bullets to big bombs, the squadron achieved the difficult 'transition from day fighter to top jet attack outfit during a drastically curtailed training cycle which featured deployments by the dozen, and proved the stamina, ingenuity, and good humor of all hands, from Skipper Frank Foltz, to the junior mess cook. Having surmounted such' obstacles as a hundred aircraft transfers, non-availa- bility of equipment, and an ever-changing deployment schedule, VA 192 deployed to WESTPAC as the first fully ready jet attack squadron in the Pacific. By way of versatility, the Squadron posesses an arsenal of songs and spirit unequalled in the fleet, and a will to excel which insures that 192 will always be found first...at a frolic or on the target. 140 COMMANDER FRANK E. FOLTZ SQUADRON COMMANDER
