Gloss Prophecy R. R. 1 Van Wert. Ohio January 13. 1957 Dear Georgia: Well George it has been ten years since we left good old York High. I was thinking about you the other day and I thought I would write you and tell you about all our old classmates in case you don't know about them. I was glad to hear that you and Lloyd Miller are happily married on your 120 acre farm. I bet those two little red-headed kids keep you busy. David Williams is now chief engineer at Wright's Field in Dayton. Remember all those model planes he used to build. Don Phelps has now gone into the turkey business for himself. People from all over the country come to Phelps' Turkey Ranch to get their turkeys. Remember how he used to work for the Jones Brothers. Since Marcia Painter has worked at Balyeat's for such a long time, Don and Stub finally decided to make her manager of everything. Paul Linton and Rita finally took the fatal step. They are now living on their 300 acre farm with a complete line of Minneapolis Moline machin- ery and a Plymouth car for each one of them. Ray and Jay Couts have now gained their places in Barnum and Bailey's side show as the biggest men on earth. They sure have grown since they left York. Clarence Wallick has invented a new type of Allis-Chalmers tractor that goes fifty miles an hour on the road. It almost keeps up with the Green Hornet, the name we used to call his car. Remember how he used to drive it .around and turn his spotlight on people. Ida Thomas has half interest in McCoy's Flower Shop in Van Wert. They are going to start a new shop in Venedocia. She and Johnny have the best and most beautiful flowers in the world. Everett Rigdon is now President of the Watkins Company and boy is he ever rolling in the money. George Couts has made a name for himself as an all star basketball player for the Zollner Pistons and has won several awards. Marilyn Evans is now an opera singer in the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. I have never heard her but from the publicity she gets I guess she is pretty good. Warren Morris and Johnny Schwartz are now partners and they run the largest nite club in the state of Ohio. They have only the most exclusive bands and beverages. Bill McNamee is now Coach for York. He has the best team in the county and the last few years his boys have been victorious over the State. Well Dorothy Crow finally got her ring. She is now living in wedded bliss in Haviland. Remember how Dorothy always said she wouldn't get married. Boy did she ever lose a lot of bets. Earl Davis finally made the movies. He plays opposite Lucille Ball and for the last two years he has won the Oscar for being the best actor. Did you see his latest show Moonlight on the Little Auglaizeu? He was simply wonderful. As you probably know I am happily married and I have my own Beauty Shoppe right in my home. If you ever need a permanent you know where to come. Yours truly Helen 19
